This is not a masterpiece series and it doesn't need to be. Both the actors from the first pilot, to anyone else than joined in the later seasons. The simple truth is that they rocked it on. Does it not have cheesy or 'no-sense' parts? Well yeah it has, how could it not? But who cares? You learn to love even these small drivels as in the grant scheme of the show, they are even funny. The show touches upon almost if not all the 'big' hot sci-fi and science subjects. They have their fun with it and that's something really precious for any viewer. In this final season more than the rest, it is crystal clear that they love the show as well. They all grow, they all feel and they all live the part. You love the characters and you stay engaged no matter what. I finished the series thinking that I will miss them all. Is it objectively comparable to other 9's or 10's? I am not sure. My ratings for this series started around 6 or 7 and pushed their way through to almost perfect score.
